Global Crude Steel Output Down 4.6% Year-on-Year in November 2025
According to the latest release from the World Steel Association, the crude steel output of 70 countries/regions included in the association’s statistics worldwide reached 140.1 million metric tons in November 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 4.6%.

The crude steel output of 70 countries/regions included in the World Steel Association’s statistics worldwide was 140.1 million metric tons in November 2025, down 4.6% year-on-year.
Crude Steel Output by Region
- Africa: 2 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%;
- Asia and Oceania: 99.9 million metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.1%;
- European Union (27 countries): 10.2 million metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%;
- Other European countries: 3.7 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%;
- Middle East: 5.5 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%;
- North America: 9 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%;
- Russia, other CIS countries + Ukraine: 6.3 million metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%;
- South America: 3.5 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.

- Japan: 6.8 million metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%;
- Russia: 5.2 million metric tons (estimated), a year-on-year decrease of 6.6%;
- South Korea: 5 million metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%;
- Turkey: 3.3 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.0%;
